Google Chrome Opens And Closes
I tried disabling all extensions and addons. The error also occurred with Firefox, if I am not mistaken.Ultimately, I tried uninstalling Google Chrome, after verifying it was indeed the latest/correct version and was up to date etc. Firefox crashed during part of the download and I ended up having a corrupted version of chrome that was accessible as an application but not recognized as an installed program. And that one crashed as well as having a second of issue of it not remaining my default browser or even coming up as an option to set it as the default.Finally, I deleted all the files associated with the Google Chrome browser and reinstalled it a second time.
This time the download was successful and chrome reinstalled correctly. I was having this problem in early 2017 with no solution found on line. Using Chrome on a Windows 10 PC. Chrome would shut down immediately after starting, or run for a short time and then disappear.My bandaid solution has been to NOT start Chrome until Windows 10 has had plenty of time to initialize everything during the start-up process. My current procedure is to turn on the computer, wait for the log on screen. Go get a cup of coffee and check the morning paper. Come back and make sure the hourglass or little blue circle has stopped spinning.
Start Chrome. No more auto-shutdown.

Also for me none of Zarah's suggestions worked: everything is still the same. Also when I open Chrome there is a pop-up (in the few seconds before it closes again) that Chrome has not been closed properly and whether I want to restore the tabs. But I cannot even click that because before I get the change Chrome closes again. This pop-up also appears after removing the program and re-installing it again.
