Bartender Not Showing Cooldowns
Well, I've figured out how to stop the errors in my UI anyway: Turn off friendly nameplates. I figured out it only happens when I see buffs/debuffs on friendly nameplates, like during trash in front of Desolate Host in ToS. It appears that at least one ore more addons are trying to interact with buffs/debuffs on friendly nameplates and this is what is causing the errors. I suspect that, in my case, the addons involved are at least kuiNameplates and OmniCC (and probably a few more). The former is reponsible for displaying the buffs (unfortunately no separate option to turn off friendly auras in dungeons/raids - it's either completely off or on) and the latter tries to put a duration timer on the buff. Since addons are forbidden from interacting with nameplates in dungeons/raids since 7.2.5, this is what's causing all the errors.
Turning off the friendly nameplates 'fixes' the issue but I dislike this solution because I'm a healer main and I use friendly plates to keep easy track of where people are. Plates are way easier to see than character models. If anyone finds a better solution, please let me know.
Code: SWTOR seemingly reads part of its timing information directly from theKUSERSHAREDDATA mapping. This is a special virtual address mapping which ispresent in all processes and used internally by Windows user space libraries.Basically a system stat page exported by the NT kernel to user space.It can be found at virtual address 0x7ffe0000. In Wine this page is initializedonce (it holds a lot more information than just timing) but after that there donot seem to be any more updates. Also the InterruptTime field (time since boot)is never set up at all.SWTOR seems to base its send timers on exactly this source.
Now, obviously atiming source that never progresses leads to timers never elapsing which is agood explanation why things do not work properlyMr Juttner also supplied a patch (a quick and dirty hack) that enabled wine users to actually login and play.So I'm not surprised that having your local system time set incorrectly causes the game to bug out. Warzone queues refuse to pop, space missions do not work, elevators dont show as moving, cooldowns not working.I've made many tickets in game about this.Repair function on the start up screen randomly fixes it, Short term.After repairing 25 times or more now, Ive just gotten to a point if the game loads and all the crap ain't working again, I log off and find another game to play.it's been going on since 1.2 went live.Please BioWare Fix it!!Eveything said here happens to me too. And I have several tickets send and I haven't recived any answer.FIX IT NOW!!!! We are paying to play, not to visit forums without any result!!
I have this problem too and also had the pvp queue problem mentioned earlier.SWTOR customer service closed my ticket twice with no resolution and their telephone customer service is obviously outsourced to another country where the staff barely speaks english. They did, however, charge me for my subscription after closing 2 of my tickets without even offering a limp suggestion like 'reinstall the game'. The repair tool is always greyed out for me unless I have /just/ applied a patch, so it's worthless.Basically they have until the next patch to fix this or I'm outta here.
I've ignored all the many glitches and bugs I've encountered so far, and even ignored the fact that when I did open a ticket they never resolved it. But not being able to see my cooldowns makes it impossible to do anything I actually enjoy in the game- mainly pvp.cmon bioware, I like you guys, let's get the lead out. ok the 'run as administrator' solution worked for me. I have win x64 and have many of the glitches associated with it, but running the launcher, fixlauncher, swtor.exe as adminstrator seems to have fixed it for now.Maybe I was a little dramatic-Lovely.
