I sent an email to customer support. Around 5.28 AM eastern time. Then got an email at 5.30 am est.
It was just a email letting me know they received my email. And they were working on the problem. It was probably and automated robo email. Then at 5.44 am est. I received a 2nd email that solved my problems.basically what happened is.
When i installed my disk. Then when I upgraded to 9.0. It got a new license number. But i didnt know what the last 4 characters were for the new license. It wasnt shown in the license tab on the avg program.
So they sent me the entire license number. Now i have my desktop/laptop protected.THX FOR THE HELP TECH SUPPORT. The email process was much quicker than expected. When i call other companies on the phone.
It sometimes takes longer than that. The cable company being the worst. AVG had me delete some registry entries and re-enter the key they providers. It did not fix the problem. I am still getting the popup screen over and over again telling me that my license number has changed and I am still getting a License Number: Not Activated.

At least they got back to me and did not ask to be paid to fix the faulty software they sold me. I am sending this to PCWorld Magazine for their help in resolving this problem. I just wish that I could get my $75 bucks back and move on to another AV program.
