A while back completed an FO4 Novice Locks & Computers (no Perks in either ability) Only - it was painful to leave so much loot locked away were I couldn't get it.Since then I use one or the other, but not both (although I'm cheating a bit with Ada the Lock-picking Robot right now.but she's my companion only until I finish the Mechanist quest line.

Nah the real deal is to start off with high luck, a bit of energy weapon to 25, find a stealth boy (goodsprings school house with lockpick 25) and dump the rest into repairs.I then use the stealth boy to sneak into REPCONN HQ and get the Q-35 with the high luck ice creme, then use your high repair and the new found gun to fight your way / sneak your way across the desert with cazadors into vault 22 for the AER14 with your repair skill on the elevator and basically become a god early game lol.
